Searching the stock database:
Once the user registers, he can search the online stock database for information on company he wishes to invest in.
Buying and selling shares:
User has an option to buy the stocks. In the virtual portfolio, user can see all the companies that he own shares in. User can also sell the shares of a company.
What is it?
Stock Market Simulation program is designed to simulate buying and selling stocks in a realistic manner. The user will get full experience of buying and selling stocks on the web without having to actually invest currency. The program is accessed through web browser. To visit the simulator users must register with a username, email ID and password. Once registered the user will have a sum of virtual currency added to a virtual bank account. This money can be used to virtually invest in real stocks in the stock market.The program has a searchable database that is used to find companies in which the user would like to invest. The companies can be searched by name, type of company or stock symbol. The program gets real time current stock data for pricing of shares. Once the company is selected the user will be able to view graphs of the company's stock history as well as any relevant news about the company. This information can be used to decide if stocks can be purchased. When stocks are purchased the money is deducted from the user's virtual bank account and shares are added to the user's portfolio.
